You can always check the status of your order by clicking on MY Account in the navigation bar. Once you place an order, you will receive a shipment notification which will allow you to check your delivery status online.

You can track the status of your order by logging into your MY RIMOWA Account.

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive confirmation from RIMOWA via e-mail with the tracking number. This tracking number will allow you to check the delivery status of your order directly on our tracking page.

Return

You can return your item(s) within 30 days from the date of delivery. Returns are complimentary using the prepaid return label provided by RIMOWA.

Please note RIMOWA is not liable for returns through an alternative carrier. We recommend using the prepaid return label.

To process a return and get the prepaid return label, please follow the steps below:

1. Connect to your MY RIMOWA account and declare your return. Once your return is declared, you will be able to print your prepaid return label. If you have ordered as a guest, we invite you to create an account and declare your return to get the pre-paid return label.

2. Make sure your items are returned unused, undamaged and packaged in their original box.

3. Place your item in a rigid cardboard box and attach the prepaid return label.

4. Drop off your return at one of the carrier’s access points.

 

Your return will be refunded within 10 to 14 working days from the date of reception of your item by the RIMOWA team.

 

Exchange

If you wish to exchange your product for the same product in a different colour, please contact our customer service. If you would like to exchange your product with a different size or collection, you will need to process a return and order a new one.

 

Customised tags

Please, note that customised tags cannot be returned or exchanged.

Your refund will take approximately 10 - 14 business days between the receipt of the returned merchandise and refund. Once your merchandise has been successfully received, you will receive an email notifying you of the total refund amount to be credited to your account.

You have the possibility to modify or cancel your order before it has been shipped by contacting our customer service. Please note that once your order has been shipped, it is no longer possible to modify or cancel it. However, you may process a return and place a new order.

If you would like to check the availability of a RIMOWA product at one of our stores, we invite you to go to the desired product page and click on the "Find a store" button. You will be redirected to our store locator, which will show you nearby stores that have the item in stock.
If you would like to get an email alert when a product is back in stock, you can go to the product page and click on the “Notify me” button. You can enter your email address to receive a notification.

We currently don’t offer the possibility of deliveries to our stores. However, our Client Care team can check the availability of your requested item at your preferred stores, and we can reserve the item for you.

Guarantee

RIMOWA provides a lifetime guarantee for new suitcases purchased from July 25, 2022. RIMOWA’s lifetime guarantee covers all functional aspects of your RIMOWA suitcase for the life of your suitcase. RIMOWA’s lifetime guarantee does not apply to cosmetic wear and tear, misuse or abuse.
RIMOWA provides a 5-year guarantee for all suitcases purchased before July 25, 2022 when registered online. If you do not register online, a 2-year guarantee applies. This guarantee only applies if the usability of the product is considerably adversely affected by a material or manufacturing fault already present at the time of hand-over (defect). Our manufacturer’s guarantee does not apply, however, if the usability is restricted by abrasion, improper use, faulty operation, or externally occurring forces. Among other things, some product series are characterised by special leather fittings, particularly on the handle and at the corners of the product. Leather is a natural product that can change, discolour or fade, particularly under the influence of skin contact, light, and water; but also through the use of unsuitable cleaning agents, post-purchase impregnation, and textile dyes. Heat and dehydration can lead to the formation of cracks or tears in the leather. These occurrences are not covered by the guarantee.
All RIMOWA products that do not belong to our regular suitcase product catalogue come with a 2-year guarantee incl. special edition suitcases.
To claim our guarantee, immediately inform a RIMOWA dealer or an authorised RIMOWA service centre of any defect within the guarantee period and hand over or send the product and the completed certificate of guarantee or original proof of purchase. You can find RIMOWA dealers and authorised service centres on our website at rimowa.com. RIMOWA will determine whether the defect is covered by the guarantee. If this is the case, RIMOWA will repair or replace the product. In this case, RIMOWA will also cover the costs incurred, including the return shipment. The sending costs are borne by the purchaser.
All RE-CRAFTED products come with a 2-year manufacturer's guarantee.

Repair & Care

In order to preserve the fine condition of your aluminium or polycarbonate suitcase, please note the following recommendations: To remove dust or dirt, use a cloth or non-abrasive sponge dampened with clean water.
Any stubborn or sticky residue can be removed using a simple alcohol such as Isopropyl. This is widely available as pre-soaked wipes and safe to use on your RIMOWA.

For any light scuffs or scrapes on the surface of your case, use RIMOWA’s wax-free polish & repair paste (sadly not recommended for use on our matte finish). We like to think of any deep dents or scratches as patina, as they cannot be removed.
To clean any leather components, use some mild cleaning agent and a soft cloth to gently remove any surface dirt. Occasionally, it’s a good idea to treat the leather with a conventional, neutrally coloured maintenance product.

Although it may seem tempting at the time, using any of the following will damage your RIMOWA: scouring detergents, abrasive cloths or sponges, window cleaning agents, vinegar based cleaners and disinfectants, solvents, dilutions and aggressive alcohols, petroleum distillates or nail polish remover. Be gentle.

Returns

You are entitled to return all products from the RIMOWA online shop and RIMOWA stores within 30 days of receiving the merchandise for full reimbursement, provided the merchandise is complete, unused, and undamaged. Please note, we can only accept return shipments from the same country to which they were delivered. For easy returns, please keep your original box and packaging.

Limited Editions

 

RIMOWA accepts returns of limited editions (special offers which are limited in time such as RIMOWA brand collaborations) within 14 days from receiving the merchandise for a full refund, under the condition that the merchandise is complete, unused, and undamaged. RIMOWA only accepts return shipments from the same country to which the merchandise has been delivered.

From the date of delivery, you have 30 days to return your item(s). Products should be returned unused, undamaged, and packaged in their original boxes. All our returns are free of charge using our prepaid return label. Customers with a RIMOWA account are able to process their return entirely online. Refunds will take between 10 - 14 working days from the date of the receipt of your item at our warehouse. To receive any return documents and/or a prepaid UPS shipping label, connect to your RIMOWA account in order to process your order entirely online or contact us by phone, email, or by filling out this contact form.

Currently, you are unable to return merchandise purchased online at one of our RIMOWA stores. To return your order, please box the product in its original box and send it back via your pre-paid UPS label which can be created in your account.

Ownership Certificate

Registration is possible for all serialized products through the REGISTER MY RIMOWA section after connecting to My Account.

For suitcases purchased from January 1st, 2023, onwards, registration can be accessed through an NFC tag. Learn how through the registration tutorial page.

Near-field communication (NFC) technology connects two NFC-enabled devices close to one another. This technology can be embedded in an object through an electronic tag. The NFC tag can exchange information with a smartphone when held nearby. Simply by scanning the tag, a user can be redirected to a webpage.

For newer smartphones, you may need to tilt your phone towards the reader so the top part of the phone is facing the reader. Similar to how you would point a remote to a TV, point your phone straight at the reader. For older smartphones, the NFC sensor is generally on the back of the phone, either in the center, lower or upper portions. It may take a bit of experimenting to see which angle works best for your phone.

If you use your phone for payments, the same angle you use to pay should work for reading the NFC tag.

NFC tags cannot track the location of your product. NFC is designed for short-range communication between devices, typically within a few centimeters. NFC tags are primarily used for quick access to information when near an NFC-enabled device such as your smartphone.

Suitcases purchased from January 1st, 2023, have an NFC tag integrated behind the telescopic handle at the base of your suitcase.

However, every RIMOWA serialized product can be registered in your RIMOWA account for easier access to your information and services.

Your personal information won't be accessible to anyone who scans your NFC tag on your suitcase. Your information is only accessible when you are logged into your account with your password.

RIMOWA reserves the right to re-claim the RIMOWA Ownership Certificate of any returned item.

Any current owner of a RIMOWA suitcase equipped with an NFC tag can get their RIMOWA Ownership Certificate. This is the case for all suitcases purchased from January 1st, 2023 onwards.

You can retrieve it by scanning the NFC tag on your suitcase. After the suitcase registration process, you will be able to get your digital RIMOWA Ownership Certificate by clicking on the GET MY CERTIFICATE button and store it directly on your digital wallet by clicking on ADD TO WALLET.

If you have previously registered your suitcase, you can still get your RIMOWA Ownership Certificate by scanning your suitcase's NFC tag.

Retrieving your RIMOWA Ownership Certificate is a secure process that is not mandatory. It can be claimed at any point of your RIMOWA ownership journey by scanning the NFC tag on your suitcase.
Your RIMOWA Ownership Certificate is digital only, safely stored in your digital wallet.

RIMOWA suitcases are made of either aluminium or polycarbonate. Aluminium – We think a lot about aluminium. For the past 80 years, it has helped define everything we do. Be advised that leather is a very fragile material and therefore requires special attention in its handling. Please follow the leather care instructions carefully:​

  • Avoid contact with water, oils, perfume, or cosmetics.​​
  • If your item gets wet, remove any excess moisture without rubbing, instead, dab with a soft cloth and let dry at room temperature.​​
  • To remove dust or dirt, use a soft brush or non-abrasive sponge dampened with clean water.​​
  • If necessary, please use a special leather cleaner available in leather goods stores. Colored care products are not recommended. Before applying any care product, please test it on an inconspicuous area.​

RIMOWA’s lifetime guarantee covers all functional aspects of the RIMOWA suitcases (incl. Distinct suitcases).

​Cosmetic wear and tear is not covered by RIMOWA’s lifetime guarantee and this also applies to the leather components.

New Lock

  1. Open the lock by moving the lever into position A.
  2. Using a pointed instrument (e.g. a ballpoint), push in the button B until it engages.
  3. Adjust the dials to your combination.
  4. Move the lever back into position A. Button B will be released, and your new secret personal code is set.
  5. Secure the lock by turning the dials.

RIMOWA × Tiffany & Co.

Our Rock Cut Cabin is under the lifetime guarantee, whereas the Jewelry Case and Jewerly Personal fall under our 2-year guarantee. The silver piece included in the Jewelry Case comes with no specific guarantee and all claims or repairs should be requested to Tiffany & Co. only.
All three products of the collaboration are made in Germany.

Given that the Jewelry Personal is a jewelry box and not a handbag, no strap is included, nor is there a possibility to attach one.
  • Apply a small amount of Tiffany’s silver jewelry cleaner to a soft cloth.
  • Gently rub the silver with the clothseveral times.
  • Rinse the silver thoroughly in warm water.
  • Blot dry and shine your silver with Tiffany’s polishing cloth or mitts. This will remove the tarnish and restore shine.

RIMOWA x GEWA

GEWA’s mechanically adjustable neck pad provides adjustability for different instrument sizes and makes the case ideally suited for violins sized at 4/4 (59cm) to 3/4 (52cm). The neck pad also provides effective protection and increased holding stability during transport and storage.
To adjust, simply unlock the neck pad by pushing the two side buttons and sliding it to the desired position.

 

 

 

 

Considering the case’s humidity is an important factor, the integrated hygrometer can be used to measure the case’s relative humidity.

 

In the event that it drops too low, use the provided humidifier to raise the humidity inside the case.

1. Open the lid and fill the humidifier with water until it emerges from evaporation vents.

2. Firmly close the lid to create a vacuum and initiate humidifying.

3. Turn the ring to uncover the ventilation holes and set your preferred humidity level.

To enjoy the beauty of your product for years to come, we recommend that you observe the following instructions:

• Take care not to scratch it against abrasive materials.

• Remove dust or dirt from the aluminum shell with a cloth or non-abrasive sponge dampened with clean water. • Remove stubborn or sticky residue from the aluminum shell using a simple alcohol like Isopropyl alcohol.

 

FABRICS

• Do not wash, dry clean, iron, bleach or tumble dry.

• Avoid contact with water, oils, perfume or cosmetics.

• If your item gets wet, remove any excess moisture without rubbing, dab with a soft cloth instead and let dry at room temperature.

• To remove dust or dirt, use a soft brush or non-abrasive sponge dampened with clean water.

• Please keep in mind that some humid and hot environments may cause slight colour transfer through friction, particularly when wearing light colours.

Twelve Bottle Case

The RIMOWA Twelve Bottle Case comes with a 2-year warranty.
Avoid scratching the RIMOWA Twelve Bottle Case against abrasive materials. To remove dust or dirt from the aluminum shell or interior, use a cloth dampened with clean water to clean gently. Any stubborn or sticky residue should be removed from the aluminum shell using a wipe pre-soaked in alcohol such as Isopropyl. Keep your leather handle in good condition by avoiding prolonged contact with materials that may transfer coloured pigments onto the leather, protecting it from humidity, and keeping it out of direct sources of heat or sunlight.
In case of condensation from the cold bottles, wipe the interior with a dry soft cloth and leave the bottle case open to allow it to dry.
Thanks to a clever system of a padded cushion with varied thickness that wedges bottle necks to keep them in place depending on the bottle’s size, the Twelve Bottle Case can hold any standard silhouette of wine bottles – from Bordeaux to Bourgogne – as well as wider champagne bottles.
Crafted with movement in mind, the RIMOWA Twelve Bottle Case includes a clever system of padded cushions ans security bar which will keep your bottles in place during transport or display. We recommend transportation modes wherein the suitcase and its precious contents can be handled with care. Therefore, hand-carrying during transport via car, train or private plane is preferrable. Commercial air travel is unfavorable as the valuable bottles content may be damaged or altered.

The blockchain is a distributed, public, and transparent digital ledger, which makes cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, as well as NFTs, tradeable without the need of a third party mediator.

Cryptocurrency wallets are software used to communicate with blockchain networks to safely access, send, and receive crypto funds or NFTs.

Creating a wallet is necessary to purchase NFTs. There are a few important steps to make that happen:

 

- There are a number of different wallet options to choose from. There are mobile, desktop and hardware wallets. For example, MetaMask is a mobile and desktop wallet, Rainbow is a mobile wallet, while Ledger and Trezor are hardware wallets. Hardware wallets offer an additional layer of security as your private keys are stored offline on a physical device, and every transaction requires you to physically sign in the hardware wallet.

 

- Once you’ve created your wallet, you will be able to view a 12-24 word sequence— this is your seed/secret recovery phrase. Pro tip: write your seed phrase down on a piece of paper (do not take a screenshot or a picture) and store it somewhere safe. If you forget your wallet password, the only way to restore your wallet is with your seed/secret recovery phase. Never, under any circumstances, share this phrase with anyone. If someone asks for your phrase assume they are a bad actor.

 

- Once you have your wallet set up, you will need to purchase some Ether (ETH) in order to begin buying NFTs. You can purchase ETH, along with other cryptocurrencies, on exchanges like Gemini or Coinbase, and then transfer the purchased amount to your non-custodial wallet to buy NFTs. Note, some banks have restrictions on how much money you can deposit at a time into an exchange, and some exchanges have restrictions on how much money you can transfer out at a time. It is recommended that you buy any ETH you wish to use for NFT purchases at least 5 days before so that your ETH will clear in time and you can transfer it to your non-custodial wallet. Another method is to use the apps directly on the wallet which directs you to an integrated third-party exchange rail (i.e. MoonPay on MetaMask), which you can buy crypto using fiat/credit card directly into your wallet.

A digital form of currency in which transactions are verified and records are maintained by a decentralized system using cryptography, rather than a centralized authority.

Cryptocurrencies, like Ether, are available for sale and trading on digital asset exchanges. Some popular crypto exchanges include: FTX, Coinbase, Binance, Crypto.com, and Gemini.

Ether (ETH) is the main token housed on the Ethereum blockchain and the world's second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalisation. As with any other cryptocurrency, such as Bitcoin or Dogecoin, Ether can be used as payment directly to another person or entity without the need for a centralized intermediary, such as a bank.

Minting, or to mint, an NFT means converting digital data into crypto collections or digital assets that are recorded on the blockchain. The digital products or files will be stored in a distributed ledger or decentralized database and cannot be edited, modified, or deleted.

Forging refers to the process by which an NFT is used as a redemption mechanism to access a physical item. Influenced by gaming culture and different lore, RTFKT has branded and popularized the term "forging" to represent the transformation of digital fashion NFTs into their physical counterparts.

RIMOWA Harness

HARNESS ASSEMBLING INSTRUCTIONS

 

1. Place the open harness on the suitcase. Ensure that the top straps sit beside the top handle.

2. Clip the right-hand-side straps together.

3. Repeat the process with the straps on the left side.

4. Pass the straps under the handle and secure to your suitcase.

This luggage harness is meant to fit the RIMOWA Original, Classic, Essential, Essential Lite and Hybrid suitcases in the following sizes only: Cabin U, Cabin S, Cabin and Cabin Plus. This harness will not fit other RIMOWA suitcase sizes and we can not guarantee that the harness will suit any cabin suitcases from other brands.

RIMOWA Attaché

To enjoy your product for years to come, we recommend the following instructions:

 

- Take care not to scratch the aluminum against abrasive materials.

 

- Remove dust or dirt from the aluminum shell with a cloth or non-abrasive sponge dampened with clean water.

 

- Remove stubborn or sticky residue from the aluminum shell using a simple alcohol like Isopropyl alcohol.

 

- If the leather gets dirty, or in case of superficial stains, wipe it with a soft and light-colored cloth.

 

- Avoid prolonged contact with materials that may transfer color pigments onto the leather.

 

- Keep away from humidity and protect it from direct sources of heat and sunlight as the color of the leather may fade.

1. Open the lock by turning it to 0-0-0 and pushing the button (A).

 

2. Open the Attaché to access the recessed button (B) situated behind the handle. Push in the button – you can use a ballpoint pen – until it locks in place. You will hear a click.

 

3. Set your combination by turning the dials. Once done, push button (A). When the mechanism has adjusted to the new combination, you will hear a click.

 

4. To close and secure the Attaché, simply shut it and turn the dials.

Pick Up in Store is a service where you can place an order on RIMOWA.com and visit select RIMOWA stores to pick up your order.

To use your RIMOWA Electronic Tag , you need to register your suitcase through BAGTAG. Please download the BAGTAG App in the App Store or Google Play and process the registration. Once registered, you can check-in your Electronic Tag for flights with participating airlines as well as customize your display.

We moved our functions from RIMOWA App to BAGTAG App. Please download the BAGTAG App in the App Store or Google Play and register your suitcase to continue using your Electronic Tag functions as usual.
