Privacy Policy Addendum for Korean Residents

The Privacy Policy of Rimowa is applicable when using the services offered by Rimowa.  This document is an addendum to the Privacy Policy of Rimowa applicable to Rimowa customers who reside in Korea.

1. Purpose of Processing Personal Data and Processed Data Items

Rimowa collects your personal data below for following purposes including providing goods and services. Please refer to Privacy Policy for more detailed information regarding purpose of collection of personal data.

 

Registration and customer account (MyRIMOWA)

Personal data below are processed to create a customer account and relevant registration.

 

Mandatory Items:

    • - Contact details: email address, first name, family name
    • - Password
    • - Data regarding purchases made: number of products purchased, with the relative indication of type, quantity and price
    • - Master Data, which is the data collected in connection with the online order/use of the further service under your MyRIMOWA ID
    •  

Optional Items:

  • - Date of birth
  • - Telephone number
  • - Country of residence

 

 

Orders

Personal data below is processed to manage purchase orders and their delivery as well as the applicable warranties.

Mandatory Items:

  • - Personal details: first name, family name
  • - Contact details: email address, telephone number
  • - Data necessary for the purchase and delivery of goods: billing and delivery address, information on the mode of payment and the corresponding payment details
  • - Data regarding the purchase made: number of products purchased, with the relative indication of type, quantity and price

 

 

Optional Functions

Personal data is processed with regard to the “Newsletter” service so that you can subscribe to RIMOWAS Newsletter and receive updates and promotional materials. Personal data items processed for providing newsletter services are as follows:

 

Mandatory Items:

  •     - title, name, surname, e-mail address, country

Rimowa also mandatorily collects automatically created information including but not limited to connection logs and cookies. Please refer to Rimowa Privacy Policy for detailed information regarding automatically created information.

4. Retention and Use Periods and Destruction of Personal Data

 

Unless additional preservation is otherwise required according to the retention period prescribed by the applicable laws, Rimowa shall retain and use the personal data as long as your account remains open, 10 years from the purchase date, or during the statutory period to store the personal data.

 

In the event the retention period expires or the purpose of use is achieved, Rimowa shall delete the personal data stored in electronic format by using irreversible technical method. Any printed personal data shall be destroyed by shredding them with a shredder or by incinerating them.

 

5. Measures Securing Data Safety

 

RIMOWA applies technical and organisational security measures in line with accepted practice particularly regarding the security of its information system.

 

RIMOWA strives to take all the necessary steps in order to protect the confidentiality and security of your Personal Data and prevent it from being amended, damaged, destroyed or accessed by unauthorised third parties. RIMOWA will also ensure in this respect that its data processors present similar, appropriate security, technical and organisational guarantees.

 

6. Exercise of Rights

 

You may exercise the rights to access, correct and delete your personal data pursuant to the applicable laws and regulations. Please refer to the Privacy Policy to see how you can exercise your rights.

 

7. Cookies and automatically collected persona data and refusal

 

The Rimowa website collects and save cookies automatically.  You have authority to install cookies. On web browser, you could set options to allow or deny cookies also confirms when cookies are saved. And you could deny to save cookies.
