“Hottie”, Marc Hacklaender and Elisabeth Lorenz
— from Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd
Mentored by Nic Galway, SVP Creative Direction Product Design at adidas AG
‘Hottie’ combines TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) technology with heat therapy to effectively relieve menstrual discomfort, providing comfort on the go. TENS sends gentle electrical impulses through the skin, blocking pain signals and stimulating endorphin production. With one in ten women experiencing severe symptoms, ‘Hottie’ provides reliable relief when you need it most.
“Standalone” by Tom Kemter and Niels Cremer
— from Bauhaus-Universität Weimar
Mentored by Pierre Jorge Gonzalez and Judith Haase, Founders and Managing Directors of Gonzalez Haase AAS
Standalone aims to redefine the image and functionality of the classic forearm crutch. The use of high-end, human-centred materials, combined with its modern, innovative design, helps combat the social stigma surrounding forearm crutches, while its unique ability to stand freely on flat surfaces adds a new dimension to its usability.
