Crafted from high-end anodised aluminium, the RIMOWA Original Cabin Optical redefines boundaries by creating the illusion of the iconic grooves disappearing.

 

This dynamic shimmering effect, where the grooves appear to shift with changes in viewing angles and light reflections, is achieved by a selective brushing treatment on RIMOWA's signature material. The optical motif continues inside the case, with the lining featuring a jacquard wherein the optical geometric pattern is woven into the fabric itself.

 

Each suitcase is numbered out of 2002 limited-edition pieces, a number chosen for its palindromic reference to the art of perception.
