What does a repair cost?
Unfortunately, RIMOWA cannot make statements pertaining to the guarantee or the costs of repair or create a quote without first seeing the case. To this end, we ask you to send the luggage to one of our authorized service partners. A cost estimate will then be issued upon request. Frame straightening, dent removal and transport damage are not covered by the guarantee.Repair sheet
What should I do if I find a crack or dent on my case?
Please report the damage immediately to the tour operator or the carrier (airline, train company, etc.). Unfortunately this type of damage is not included in the guarantee. Repairing the material (gluing a crack) is only possible in rare cases. We or your dealer will gladly issue a damage report on request.
Where can I take my luggage for repair?
Please contact one of our authorized repair shops or take the case to your dealer. Where can I order spare parts?
Please let us know the exact name of the luggage and the 13/17 digit serial number located on the outside near the hinges of the case. If possible, a photo is preferred. How can I set the combination lock to my own personal combination?
Configuration of an individual combination for your combination lock differs for each model within a series. Please find your lock in the figures below. What is a TSA lock?
During travel to the United States, each suitcase can be opened and searched by TSA (Transportation Security Administration) personnel. At times, locked suitcases and trolleys must be opened by force. The so-called "TSA locks" were developed to prevent this. They can be accessed using a master key with which only TSA employees can open the suitcases and lock them again. Accordingly, if you buy an item with a TSA lock, you are not provided with a key. Instead, you can secure your case using a combination lock.
What kind of finish do the Topas Stealth and Topas Titanium models have?
The Topas Stealth and Topas Titanium series are finished, respectively, in black and titanium-colored, anodized aluminum. An electrochemical process is used to apply this wafer-thin, anodic coating to the surface. Scratching can cause the underlying aluminum surface to appear.
What is the purpose of the zipper at the bottom of the inner lining?
Known as the "service zipper," if need be this zipper permits quick and easy access to the parts attached inside the case (e.g. telescope handle and lock).

How can I remove stickers from my aluminium case and clean it?
The aluminium magnesium alloy is robust and easy to clean. A damp sponge suffices to clean away dust and dirt. Cleaning agents that contain abrasives may not be used as they may damage the anodised aluminium. These solutions damage the surface and may leave scratch marks. Stickers can be easily removed using hot air (e.g. with a hair dryer), cleansing spirit or nail polish remover. Scratches can not be removed in principle. Therefore you should perform the appropriate measures to ensure proper and careful handling of your luggage during transport. Signs of wear, which can occur with this material when traveling, do not affect the functionality in any way. As a lasting memory, these marks give your aluminium case an individual appearance over time, which makes it unique and distinctive.

How can I remove stickers from my polycarbonate case and clean it?
Fine scratches or dull spots can be treated with RIMOWA polish & repair paste. This white paste is suitable for all RIMOWA colours and available through retailers.
Your RIMOWA case is a high quality product, which has been manufactured with great care. In order to maintain the good condition for a very long time, please observe the following instructions: to clean away dust and dirt, you should only use warm water and a soft cloth or sponge.
Aggressive materials or cleansing agents and disinfectants such as nail polish and nail polish remover, acetone, ammonia, benzene, chloroform, phenol-based compounds, etc. may not be used as they may damage the surface.
Stickers can usually be removed easily with warm soapy water. Adhesive residue or other tough stains can be removed with light alcohols (e.g. isopropyl alcohol from a pharmacy).
